Action Category

Action Category

The Action Category feature is used to organize similar actions under one category.

When an action is created (either from the Actions page or as part of responses on the Checklist page), it is mandatory to assign an Action Category to it.

When this Action is listed either on desktop or mobile, the Category will also be displayed.

To create a new Action Category, see the steps below.

Create an Action Category

Go to the Settings tab in the left navigation bar, and click on the Action Category tab.

Click on the + New Action Category button on the top right of the next screen.

An Add Action Category dialog box will be displayed on the screen.

Enter a suitable name, for e.g., create a category called Maintenance, so that actions pertaining to maintaining building equipment or infrastructure can be assigned to this category.

Finally, click on Save. The category will be created.

Now, when you try to create an Action (either from the Actions page or as part of responses on the Checklist page), this new category will be provided as an option under the ‘Action Category’ dropdown, and you will be able to assign the action to this category.
