Auto Score and Auto Number

Auto Score and Auto Number

Auto score and auto number are additional features in your checklist that allow you to add more detail to your checklist questions.

Both features can be enabled using the respective checkboxes on the checklist page.

Both features can be enabled either while creating a new checklist on the Create Checklist page, or while updating your checklist on the Update Checklist page.

Each of these features is described below.

Auto score

Auto score or automated scoring is a feature that allows you to associate a score with each response that the user selects while answering the checklist questions.

If this feature is enabled, you will be able to set a score for the responses of your choice.

The score for a response can be less than or greater than zero, for e.g., you may set a score greater than 0 for a response that is a positive indicator (i.e., add points), and a score less than 0 for a response that is a negative indicator (i.e., deduct points).

Note: Users will not be able to see the scores associated with each response while filling the checklist. This will ensure authenticity in their responses.

To set auto-scoring option for your responses:

  1. Tick the Auto Score checkbox on the Create Checklist/Update Checklist page.

  2. Auto scoring is applicable to the following question types: button, checkbox, dropdown, and radio button.

  3. Now, when you click on a question card in the checklist that is of a supported question type, you will see a textbox for entering a score next to each response label of the question.

  4. Enter the score of your choice.

And you’re done! The final score from all checklist questions containing scores will be tallied automatically, and will be visible in the report of the Completed Audit which uses this checklist.

Auto number

Auto number or automated numbering is a feature that adds a serial number to each question/information element in your checklist.

If this feature is enabled, the questions will be displayed along with numbering in your checklist.

Numbering for questions begins from 1, and is incremented by 1 for each subsequent question. Information elements will also be numbered; however, their numbering will not be visible to the user.

Note: Auto numbering starts from 1 in each section.

To set the auto numbering option for your responses:

  1. Tick the Auto Number checkbox on the Create Checklist/Update Checklist page.

  2. Numbers will automatically be added to the existing questions/information elements.

  3. Numbering on questions will automatically be visible in the Mobile Preview area.

  4. Now, when you add a new question or information element, the correct number in the sequence for that section will be added automatically to it, by the system.
